So how does this all work I hear you shout.

In a nutshell, I want your session to be more then photographing the faces of your family; I want it to include the heart of who you are.

Finding out about the personality of your child before the session even begins is crucial for me. Their like and dislikes. The type of child that they are – how they interact with others. These things are so important.

Artistic vision of your session is also massively important to me. You may have an idea in mind, you may be open to some creative suggestions. You might like the idea of a styled session – something magical. Your child and a dressing up box in the middle of a beautiful summer meadow. A vintage sofa on the beach at sunset. An urban session with bright and beautiful graffiti as a backdrop or keeping it simple – just me, my camera and a stunning location. This is very much down to you, what you want, what would suit your child, what will suit your personal style and ultimately your home environment and interior space.

Typically a session will last between one and two hours (newborn sessions can be up to four hours) on location, in your home or in my natural light studio space in Penarth. I believe that every photo shoot should be filled with fun. Not just for the children but for you as parents. This shouldn’t be a chore this should be an adventure, an experience.

Much in the same way that a painter creates a portrait, I spend a great deal of time editing and creating each image. It’s a time consuming process (a minimum of 3 to 5 hours per customer) but I feel that it’s time well spent to ensure you receive the high quality finished product that my customers expect. I usually present between 20 and 30 fully edited images to my customers. Then comes the selection and design of your finished artwork.

I am a perfectionist. It has to be 100% right for you. I want you to come back for more in the years to come. I want you to be happy with every single element of your experience with me.
